Since April 2013 you won’t get the I-94 form at the Airport (Immigration). You will need to go online and print your family’s forms and keep them for your records. You can find the form at: www.cbp.gob/I94
Planning on getting Green Card for your kids?
You should start keeping some records of your travels if you plan to get the Green Card at some point.

Entitlements and Requirements
Employees holding a G-4 visa, their eligible dependents, and their domestic workers holding a 6-5 visa may request a driver’s license.
To request a license in any jurisdiction in the U.S. applicants must present a letter from the U.S. Department of State confirming their visa status. To obtain this letter, an employee should email the HR Service Center at HRSC@iadb.org and include the following:
- Full name as it appears on passport
- Date of birth
- State of residence for license application or renewal
- Current residential address

Obtaining your IDB ID Badge
The person working in the Bank needs to send an e-mail to the Department of Security security@iadb.org requesting the ID badge for his or her spouse.
The Security office of the Inter-American Development Bank is located at the main entrance of the Bank, 1300 New York Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20577, Suite #NE163. Social Security Card - Social security number
Your Social Security Number must be solicited by you in one of the Social Security Administration (SSA) offices. The closest one in DC area is located at: 2100 M St, Washington, DC 20203 (corner of 21 St & M St, NW).
What documents do you need to bring to the Social Security Administration office?
If you are a Bank employee you must bring:
- Form SS-5 (see SSA website)
- Form I-94
- G-4 Visa and passport
After the documentation has been correctly processed, you will be granted with a Social Security Card that reads “VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION.
If you are a Bank employee’s dependent, you are entitled to a Social Security Number once you have received your work permit. Bring the following documents to apply for it:
- Form SS-5 (see SSA website)
- Form I-94
- G-4 Visa and passport
- Dependent Certification Letter
- Employment authorization document from Department of State/Work Permit
