Professional Volunteer

At IDB Family Association we have adopted the term 'Professional Volunteering', as we offer a wide variety of volunteering options focused on the professional development of our members; opportunities that allow our volunteers to have a professional immersion in a foreign country, according to their work experience and academic background.

Social Volunteer

In addition to Professional Volunteering, IDB Family Association offers our members the opportunity to participate in our 'Social Volunteering': A way to support the less privileged communities of Latin America and the Caribbean through their participation in the development of social responsibility programs. Our volunteers work in fundraising activities organized by the headquarters in Washington DC, and support the Social Assistance Committee (CAS) in the development of social projects in the 26 Country Offices that are part of the Association.

Operations Volunteer

In IDB Family Association we also offer volunteering opportunities aimed at supporting the planning and developing of the activities for the members of our community. Each volunteer works hand in hand with the Directors of the Committees and plays a fundamental role in the coordination of programs that seek to satisfy the needs and interests of our members during their different stages of adaptation to a new country.

I want to be a Volunteer!

All the programs and activities that we offer in the Association are organized by volunteer members with the support of a coordinator and an assistant. The Departments of Education, Career Development, Communications, Socio-Cultural and Country Offices, including the Social Assistance Committee (CAS), offer volunteering opportunities with a wide variety of profiles, skills and responsibilities.
